Can’t believe GM got the rights to Lambo amirite?
But seriously how long until the C8 depreciates to half its value?

There should be a contest with an over/under on how many Corvette posts we’ll see on the FP between now and the actual delivery of one in spring(?) of 2020.
It’s gonna be a long summer/fall/ winter.

After all these years of talk, I really had no idea they weren’t just offering a one-off special edition with the Mid/Rear engine. I didn’t realize it was the actual SOLE replacement for the C7. I thought it was going to be a bespoke car to fight the Ford GT and it would just carry the Vette name for better recognition.
Yes, this is what media fatigue looks like after years of handwringing and speculation.

I would think the base model could depreciate well given we know a bruiser model will surely be here next year be it z06, zr1, etc models. But the base model will also be immediately modded with the upper model aftermarket suspension tricks and boost kits galore. Plus, the first year model is always a reliability investigation exerci se, so it could tank in resale as nobody really wants a guinea pig lab rat and they can get a great deal on a c7 soon which is known.
Up in the air. Now, I wonder how the value performance of this vs. a renegade hybrid ls-boxterS compares .

I will give a bazillion internet points to the first owner that actually pays only 60 grand for a new one.
I will give two bazillion internet points to the first owner who rebadges it as a Pontiac Fiero.
